Hello and welcome to my blog! I felt my first post should provide some background information about the purpose and vision of this endeavor. Let me begin with the name of this blog. If you are not familiar with scripture, you may not understand the term, “Secret Place”. We read in Psalm 91:1-2:

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

For me, my secret place is both a place and a position. The place is my private devotional time with my God. This is a daily, purposeful time, which I set aside for worship, prayer, Bible study, and journaling to nurture my personal relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ.

The position is who I am in Christ. I choose to live my life from this perspective since scripture clearly defines this position. Life can deal difficult blows at times, but my secret place position places me under the shadow of the Almighty, and this is the position I can trust God to be my refuge and my fortress.

From this place and position, I often discover revelation from God and His Word about many topics, which influence life and my spiritual maturity. When I have such discovery, it is in my nature to share it with anyone who will listen! I love to teach God’s Word and often individuals will ask me to provide copies of my notes.

The vision I have for this site is to share content from my studies and other revelations I gain. My goal is to challenge you to develop and cultivate your own relationship with Jesus Christ and to live from the position He has provided for you. I hope you will choose to follow this blog and send me your comments as we grow together in our faith walk.
